Kef were initially not licensees for the LS3/5a, although they made the drive units. Here was their equivalent: the same drivers, a complex crossover and arguably a more accurate sound. Some prefer them to LS3/5as (the comparison looms large because they both go superbly with tube amps in small to medium spaces).
