The SB-F1s are tiny speakers, 8 inches high, and are great at a desk or as rears in a surround system. They look plastic, but they are solid aluminium (they come in silver too) and heavy... not too sure the 'time alignment' of the drivers makes the magic, but they sound better than a small shoe box should, and they look >smart<
