According to Sam Tellig in his Stereophile review, 'It's a profoundly anarchistic, almost subversive product.' What does that mean? Low power: around 18w, but discrete circuitry and honed, simple, excellent components. Wonderful separation of instruments between the speakers, and a delicious feeling of music. With a medium sized room the results can rival anything up to several thousand pounds: power does not equate to performance. A peach with Quad ESLs, which may be some of the most neutral, revealing speakers of all time, so that says something. Of the Naits 1-3, the 2 is probably the best, and the 'chrome bumper' one here looks better than the olive (which we also have). An amplifier for life, which can move into the study when you decide to drop 5k on a Krell (which will barely sound better...).
